Is it necessary to get x-rays?

Yes, regular x-rays are vital to evaluating and monitoring the health of your teeth as much of the mouth’s anatomy lies below the surface. A healthy, stable mouth requires fewer x-rays than a mouth with active disease. Some x-rays are taken yearly and some once every 3-5 years.

When should my child come to the dentist?

The American Dental Association (ADA) recommends with your child’s first birthday begin regular dental check-ups for “smile” insurance. Certainly if you have any concerns regarding your child’s teeth, at any age, a visit to the dentist is warranted.

Should I be concerned if my gums bleed?

Bleeding is a sign of plaque and tarter buildup, which could mean gingivitis or periodontal disease. So yes, you should be concerned if your gums are bleeding, and your best and safest solution is to contact our office for an appointment.

I brush every day, why do I still have bad breath?

To eliminate the problem, make sure you brush twice daily, floss daily, brush your tongue, and have regular cleanings. If the problem persists you might have a systemic or internal problem in which you need to see your physician.
